Professional Development at Saga with the LevelUp Internship Program

August 19, 2024
This summer, Saga Education reached a significant milestone with the launch of our inaugural LevelUp Summer Internship Program. The vision behind this initiative was not only to provide interns with real-world experience but also to empower them through professional development that would prepare them for their future careers. As we reflect on the program’s success, we celebrate the accomplishments of our first cohort of interns and the valuable learning opportunities that emerged throughout the summer.

Building a Program Focused on Growth and Professional Development

Creating a new internship program from the ground up presented an exciting challenge, and it quickly became one of the most rewarding aspects of our work this year. The LevelUp Summer Internship Program was designed to be more than just a typical internship. We aimed to provide a hands-on experience that allowed our interns to engage in meaningful work while gaining the skills, confidence, and professional insights needed for long-term success.

Throughout the summer, our interns participated in a variety of professional development opportunities, including mentorship sessions, skill-building workshops, and networking events with Saga Education’s leaders. They worked alongside experienced professionals in our various departments, allowing them to develop their expertise, grow their networks, and enhance their ability to navigate the professional world.

Each intern brought unique perspectives and a commitment to learning that not only contributed to our projects but also to the overall success of the program. Their passion and drive to develop professionally have set a strong foundation for future cohorts, and we’re excited to see how the next group of interns will build on this progress.

Celebrating Professional Growth on National Intern Day

National Intern Day provided us with a special moment to celebrate the incredible contributions and professional growth of our interns. It was an opportunity to reflect on their journey from their early days as fellows to their current roles as interns and to recognize how much they’ve developed along the way. Their enthusiasm for learning and their dedication to growing professionally were evident in everything they did.

To our interns: We are grateful for your hard work, your eagerness to develop new skills, and your commitment to professional excellence. You have shown us what it means to take on challenges, learn from them, and apply that learning in meaningful ways. The bright futures ahead of you are a testament to the professional development experiences you’ve embraced, and we can’t wait to see where your careers take you next.
